Propose A New Member

The membership of this club shall consist of persons of good character, good community standing and good business or professional reputation engaged as proprietor, partner, corporate officer or manager of any worthy and recognized business or profession or holding an important position in an executive capacity with discretionary authority in any worthy and recognized business or profession.

PROCEDURE FOR PROPOSING NEW MEMBERS

IDENTIFY quality prospect in accordance with Meninak By-Laws as stated on proposal form.

INVITE prospective new member to Monday luncheon to acquaint with club.

PROVIDE complete information about Meninak activities, committees, service opportunities and dues.

FILL-OUT Proposal form. Form should be completely filled out and signed by proposer and two endorsers.

SUBMIT to the Meninak Office for Board approval.

ASK proposed new member to join after notification of approval from Board.

SCHEDULE Monday date with Meninak Office to introduce new member to the club.

Mentor your new member throughout the first year by advising of club procedures, activities and committee participation.

Membership Requirements

Membership in the Meninak Club of Jacksonville is not conferred lightly. Only business, professional and civic leaders of the highest regard are asked to become members.

Prospective members must be sponsored by a member-in-good-standing of the Club and have the support of at least two additional members. Application for membership requires approval by the club's board.

New members will be mentored by their proposer of the opportunities and responsibilities of membership.

These include:

  • Attending meetings on a regular basis;
  • Participating on Meninak committees or in at least one of our civic and charitable events;
  • Participation in Club social events, as schedules permit;
  • Recommending and sponsoring qualified prospective members; and,
  • Supporting the Club's high standards of ethics and integrity and demonstrating solid values.

A one-time initiation fee is required of each new member. Luncheon and club operation expenses are covered by dues that are billed quarterly. An annual assessment of members by the Meninak Foundation supports many of our charitable efforts.

Membership Dues

Regular Membership:
- Annual Dues of $1,200 billed quarterly at a rate of $300.00
- One-time initiation fee of $300 that will be included in the first billing statement.
- Each member is assessed a yearly contribution to the Foundation of $300 billed quarterly at a rate of $75.00.

Young Executives (40 and Under):
- Annuals Dues of $800 billed quarterly at a rate of $200.00.
- No initiation fee
- Each member is assessed a yearly contribution to the Foundation of $200 billed quarterly at a rate of $50.00.

Special Membership:  Military, Clergy, Retired Seniors, Non-Profit, Non-Residents:
- Annual Dues of $300 billed quarterly at a rate of $75.
- Each member is assessed a yearly contribution to the Foundation of $100 billed quarterly at a rate of $25.00.
- Pay for lunches attended at a rate of $22. 
- Seniors must be 65 or over, retired, and have been a member of the club for over ten years.

Dues will be pro-rated for members who join during the year.

The Foundation assessment is tax deductible and is the minimum required to meet our Foundation committment.  

If you would like to make additional donations towards the growth of our Foundaion - all members are encouraged to contribute to the Meninak Foundation. 

You will receive a statement of giving at the end of the year.
